a start-up with approximately 125 employees at this point, is a provider of niche
enterprise software. Responsibilities
The Sr. Marketing Manager, Demand Generation will report to the EVP,
Marketing and will be responsible for all aspects of lead generation and demand
creation, including conferences, Web seminars, search engine campaigns, direct
marketing, advertising and incentive-based programs. This is a management role;
the right candidate must effectively manage more junior team members to drive
measurable results. The lead generation team is responsible for generating a consistent
flow of net new sales opportunities for both the outside and inside sales forces
sufficient to achieve stated quotas and business goals. The senior marketing manager,
lead generation must drive the use of all available tools and techniques to improve
effectiveness implement automated reporting and drive the fine tuning of the lead
generation machine to maximize results. The lead generation team will work closely
with the sales, marketing and executive management teams to achieve a fully integrated
company position and consistent message in the minds of our target audiences.
-- Develop and execute a comprehensive
lead generation/demand creation plan & budget -- Leverage tools to accurately
measure and report on effectiveness of lead generation campaigns -- Recruit,
enable, motivate and direct the work of a team of marketing professionals --
Create, manage and accurately forecast the lead generation budget -- Work
with marketing to effectively launch new products and services -- Independently
create relevant, compelling content in support of all lead generation activities
-- Establish and document repeatable processes for lead generation and follow-up
by inside sales -- Build a positive, cooperative relationship with the sales
organization -- Leverage partners to help maximized marketing budget and reach
-- Manage relationships with appropriate tools vendors that enable more effective
utilization and reporting -- Manage salesforce.com for marketing; both in
data accuracy and reporting Qualifications
-- 5+ years B2B software lead generation experience -- Excellent written communication
skills an absolute must -- Proven track record of establishing and achieving
measurable goals in a highly automated marketing environment -- Proven track
record understanding and managing a metrics-driven marketing organization --
Demonstrated track record of recruiting outstanding team members -- Management
experience; including all aspects of headcount planning, compensation planning,
recruiting and reviewing -- Experience with start-up environments, particularly
companies on aggressive growth paths -- Strong understanding of positioning
principles and methodology -- Experience using systems such as Salesforce.com,
Eloqua, Hoovers, Jigsaw, etc. -- Operates with integrity without compromise
-- Outstanding attention to detail; must be highly organized -- Strong
leadership, influence and interpersonal skills required -- Must have a strong
metrics orientation Education
BS/BA. MBA preferred. <<
